We have some very set-in-stone traditions for Christmas Eve. Since it's cousin Megan's birthday, we meet at Benihanas for lunch. Yum!!! Then we congregate at our house a couple hours later for a Christmas Eve program, which included singing, reading scriptures, etc. Not much different than anyone else's eh?




We have a nativity with not one, but two angels, since they were fighting earlier over who got to be the angel and mom got fed up with it and said they could all be angels if they'd stop being devils.



Oh and there was a Mary and a shepherd too. But that was it. And the shepherd's arm kept getting stuck in his staff.



And then the shepherd figured out it was way more fun to spy on people with his staff than to stand there all night watching the other 2 angels and Mary.



After the beautiful nativity, we have the "talent" show, which actually consisted of more than Cassidy, Whitney and Mason playing Jingle Bells on Kazoos,

and Lauren's version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town.



Karl played his trumpet very well, considering it's been over 35 years since he'd played it last (high school band)! And his talent definitely trickled down to his boys, as they rocked their version of a Trans-Siberian Christmas. Hayley was impressive with her fluting, and Michelle classed the evening up with her amazing Hark the Herald Angels Sing piano solo. Man, that girl can make my out of tune piano really sound good!!!
