Fires

So far, we are safe. I went up to a house at the top of a close hill by ours (Carla Kammers) this afternoon to take these pictures. The fire has not come down into the valley yet. The Poomacha fire is on Palomar Mountain, and the second picture is the Rice fire which has taken Fallbrook. My parents are at my house, after being evacuated from Fallbrook yesterday. We have no word on the status of their home. I am putting the link here to some amazing pictures my brother took this morning (around 5:30am) in Fallbrook. http://picasaweb.google.com/fstopbrett

So glad you are all safe where you are! Kelly and Jay are staying with friends in Oceanside. Schools are closed here today. The air is just awful!! Hopefully today will be a good day for the firefighters! Take care and glad your parents are safe too:)

Brynn- I heard your mom started the fire in Fallbrook when she burned a pot of chili con carne. Is this true???
