Cassidy started Kindergarten! And Whitney started 3rd grade. I am still reeling from taking them to their first day of school this morning so I thought I'd sit here and post some pictures until I get to pick Cassidy up. I can't believe the summer has ended (well the vacation, not the season!). Kalvin and I took them to their brand-new school this morning. It takes exactly 17 minutes to drive there - quite a difference from our 3 minute walk down the street. This morning the girls were up early and dressed. I think Cassidy has looked forward to this day since Whitney first went to Kindergarten. That's great because I wasn't sure how it would go for Cass. But it was all excitement for the girls (and a few tears for me). By pure luck, Whitney and Mason are in the same 3rd grade class, which I think is a relief and joy for both of them. Mindi and Karl took some good video of them, while Kalvin, Tressa & I took Cassidy to her new room. Her teacher (Mrs. Scherf) is super enthusiastic and kind, and Cassidy feels really great about her. Tressa wore her own backpack all morning and threw a fit when we left the school. So, she wants to be there too. I don't know what it will be like with just Tressa & I, without Cass, my little buddy. I'm afraid to find out! :)
