Flashback Friday

So I'm not flashing back very far - to the Mother's Day Tea Party Cassidy's kindergarten hosted last Friday. How cute is that picture she drew of us?!
BUT, at Cassidy's party I did flashback to Whitney's Mother's Day Tea Party. We had barely moved to CA, were living with Mindi and Karl, Tressa was a new baby, and I had my gallbladder removed, botched up, spent a week in the hospital while they tried to kill me, etc., etc. Honestly, those first few months of Tressa's life I try to forget. And if it weren't for getting ourselves to CA with family (and friends) closer to help, I don't know if any of us would've survived!
So there I am at Whitney's party when I have another gallbladder attack (maybe it was a panic attack?). I'm in the school bathroom trying to calm down, get through it, get back to Whitney, etc., and all I can think about is that I am so sad for Whitney that her mother's going to die!
I am proud to say that I celebrated another Mother's Day and am in a much better place now! And life is excellent gallbladder-free. Cassidy's party was painless (ok she stepped on my toes in her church shoes and that really hurt) and just a joy. I look forward to Tressa's!
And those are the well-worn church shoes that stepped on me!

OK, that picture she drew is so perfect! It's like when adults try to draw something and make it look like it was done by a child. She's a pro and so darling. Love the shoes below as well. . . and that earlier post of Tressa asleep outside your door his too funny.

First of all... love the shoes! So sorry to hear about your gallbladder episode from before. How can I get to go to a mother/daughter tea party? I've got girls!

i adore the picture. it perfectly captures your trendy hair-do... and to answer to mary's comment about mindi speaking in church - i assume she was crying... that's just a given.
