We finally took a trip we've been anxious to take - driving up the scenic coast of California. And wow, it was worth it! We took our time (2 & 1/2 days just getting to San Francisco!), made plenty of stops, and finally reached San Francisco, in time for Kalvin to start working there on Monday (His client is there, so he's been traveling there every week for months). And with some begging, the Durst family drove home from Idaho through SF, Karl dropped off Mindi and the boys with us, and we played around SF together. She & I drove the kids home the "fast" way (I mean "fast" as in I got a speeding ticket - my first EVER! - boo hoo!).

Golden Gate Bridge, which I was too afraid to drive on. You can also walk across it - and that's just what we'd want to do with the 6 kids! Actually, there was a TERRIBLE accident on the bridge shortly after we had seen it, which just confirmed my decision...

I am so glad you finally took your Northern California trip! Looks like you guys went to all of the great places and had a memorable time! We love northern California and have great memories from our trip last year. Did you check out the penguins at the aquarium? You guys got the best hotel in Ventura! Shaun and I ran a 10k relay along the boardwalk there a couple of years ago...we used the bathroom in that hotel! That pier was our high school date hangout! Keep up the great adventures!

You are the coolest mom! Looks like a fabulous get-away! I can't believe you just got your first ticket. My insurance has nearly dropped me 5 times!

Looks like you made the best of Spring Break, and Business perks! You did it all! You sure know how to sight see, and with all the kiddos!
You only JUST got nabbed with a ticket? How'd you escape them all these years? Do you typically put on a good crying performance or what? What happened this time?
Getting a shot of the crookedest street, huh? Looks to me like you were finding a way to get your vogue head shot in the rear view mirror.... tricky.
