Torture time
Wednesday, December 5, 2007

That horrible time of the year has arrived again - all too soon! Family photo for Christmas card time. There are few things that stress me out as much as this, and that's the truth. I beg, plead, start yelling, hold firmly, and yet it's rarely successful. In fact, usually we go through stacks of pictures to find that one gem. By the end, I am extremely angry at everyone else, and everyone else is extremely angry at me.

Poor Tressa! Are you pinching her, Brynn?

Ditto Brynn- it is a stress. My family photo shoot was not without drama. I think there is only one that Griffin isn't frowning in- and the rest of us don't look good in that particular one. What can we do to get everyone smiling and looking? Major bribes don't even work!

I wish everyone would put their blog address on their Christmas cards! I want to know what's going on. I want to see pictures. I wish I had time to keep in touch with everyone...but I don't (and never will). The people I do keep in touch with are the ones who blog. Taboo, smaboo! That's what I say. It's all about being connected. In fact, I think I'll put mine on our card. Thanks for the idea!

Actually, I think I'll just stick a little card (you know, like a business card--which I never made for you!) in the envelope with my card.

I think you've all got it wrong - if you look closely you'll see that Tressa has actually been overcome with joy at the thought of a family picture!

AGHH!
We haven't had any luck either.. it is torture. I've got two kids who can't seem to look in the direction of the camera at the same time and one large baby who can't seem to smile for the camera... and when the three of them get it together I have a faceful of hair or something... figure. I think this is a winner!

Last year we took one of just the kids, and this year we haven't even done that yet! Way to stressful. Glad to see that I am not the only one who stresses over a silly picture!

It's so true... always the dreaded event and task to accomplish. And the word torture, comes right out of Mark's mouth. There's seriously NOTHING you can do when your child (or children) have decided they're not in the mood for picture taking. It's the most frustrating thing!! The mental energy is exhausting. I have hope for the little ones growing up and not having to fight them to simply stay put, look forward, and smile all at the same time. Thankfully, you got those gems!!!
